Our Staff
The staff at St. John’s are experienced, educated, and have patience and love for children. It is our expectation that our teachers take pride in caring for and educating young children. Our commitment to families and our community will be achieved with ongoing staff training and continued education.
Staff members meet or exceed all state requirements for childcare center teachers. Our full-time staff is committed to 25 hours, while our part-time staff is committed to 15 hours of continuing education per year. Our teachers stay current on child education, discipline techniques, state rules and regulations, and child abuse identification. All of our staff members have training in First Aid, CPR/AED, SIDS, and Shaken Baby Syndrome.

Motivate children to learn and grow to their fullest potential
-
Provide a stimulating environment with age-appropriate materials, toys and equipment for constructive learning and creative play
-
Encourage physical development through daily activity in both gross motor and fine motor activities
-
Build open relationships with parents
-
Promote each and every child’s emotional and social development through interactions with other children and guidance from teachers
-
Provide a variety of hands-on opportunities for active exploration in drama, language, math, science and the senses
